GOLFING IN THE PYRENEES
Catalan Sport Tours are very pleased to bring to you a Fabulous Spanish golfing holiday. Golfing in Spain is the most popular destination in Europe, with over 300 guaranteed sunny days in the year, surrounded by the breathtaking Picturesque Pyrenees mountains, it is not hard to see why!!! this is a popular destination to play a round of golf or two.
Below is an example of a couple of Spanish Pyrenees golf courses that we have to offer and both within a 1h 30min transfer or drive from Barcelona, Girona or Perpignan Airports. Both golf courses are only 30 minutes between each other, and offer a great challenge from the novice golfer to the experienced.
 
Fontanals Golf Club
Founded in 1994, Fontanals is situated 1150m above sea level at the side of the river Segre in the Cerdanya area of Catalonia. The scenery surrounding the course is second to none with peaks touching almost 3000m in altitude. The Peugeot Golf guide listed this course amongst the top 11 in Europe and it’s not hard to understand why. The course is a challenge for all golfers, with water coming into play on many occasions along with numerous bunkers both around the greens and on the fairways.

Real Club de Golf de Cerdanya
Immaculate fairways flanked by pine, poplar and fir trees offer incredible landscapes to the player who is also a nature lover.
Founded in 1929 the Royal Golf Club of Cerdanya is one of the oldest golf clubs in Catalonia. Situated 1km from the town of Puigcerda and just a few kilometres from Fontanals Golf course. Like Fontanals, this course is also surrounded by breathtaking scenery, which makes the golf that much more of a pleasure.
